The idea behind the development of the VINTAGE was the belief that aesthetics can only become a reality when they follow order and also fulfil the requirements for functionality. The backrest frame was the central element for the development of the design. The harmonious design concept gives VINTAGE a distinctive character and innovative features supplement the attractiveness of the swivel chair family. Different options for the back and armrests provide a tremendous amount of design flexibility. Having this wide variety, the chair range is impressive with its suitability for many applications and work areas.

INNOVATIVE

SYNCHRONOUS MECHANISM WITH SMART MOTION TECHNOLOGY

With its brand new Smart Motion Technology, the VINTAGE revolutionises the working position at the desk. The dynamic seat tilt, which can be adjusted to suit individual body weight and size, seamlessly expands the traditional synchronous movement. The Smart Motion Technology uses kinematic processes for frequent seating position changes and supports an ergonomic body posture. Although this cannot reduce the workload, it can relieve stress and tension caused by long periods of sitting. The Smart Motion technology can be locked in four settings and allows for a maximum opening angle between the seat and the backrest of 110°.For even more dynamic sitting, the VINTAGE swivel chairs can be expanded with Auto Flow armrests (which follow arm movements) and the Bionic Effect in the mesh (innovative lumbar support).

Health

The VINTAGE product range meets the expectations of an innovation- and marketleader. These are not just our own convictions and opinions. These are hard facts and independent tests. We gave Fraunhofer IAO the task of performing a scientific assessment of the new VINTAGE. The study was conducted in two parts. During the user test, the four ergonomics experts and 15 office professionals focused on the new developments that are features of the VINTAGE.

The VINTAGE meets and even exceeds all ergonomic and biomechanical requirements that promote healthy sitting. The new range of chairs also provided a good user experience during the user test. With its claim to improve ergonomic quality, VINTAGE has a big impact on promoting healthy and comfortable seating.

Smart Motion Technology

THE EXPERTS' OPINION
  • Targeted expansion of the traditional synchronous mechanism by adding a tilting movement of the seat.
  • Individually adjustable counter pressure of the backrest and seat.
  • More freedom of movement when sitting upright thanks to additional pelvic movement.
  • Increased activation of the core muscles thanks to more freedom of movement, providing special support that encourages dynamic and healthy sitting habits.
THE USERS' OPINION
  • The majority of test participants felt encouraged to change their seating position more frequently.
  • Two thirds of the test participants found the dynamic seat adjustment very comfortable.

Bionic Effect

THE EXPERTS' OPINION
  • The size and position of the latex print supports the physiological S-shape of the user's spine regardless of the body size - an individual adjustment is not necessary and a misadjustment is not possible.
THE USERS' OPINION
  • The lumbar support with latex print was found to be very pleasant and supportive.
  • The latex print was also regarded as an especially attractive design feature.

Sustainability

PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST

Working and living conditions form an inseparable entity for us. We therefore see it as our task to be active players in keeping the balance in the world: Social, economic, cultural and ecological. We want to leave our children and grandchildren with an environment that is economically, ecologically and socially intact. To do this, we work with children, youths and elderly people as well as those with disabilities.
The Blue Angel is the most widely known certification mark in the world. For 40 years now, the Environmental Label Jury, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the German Federal Environmental Agency and RAL gGmbH have been distinguishing products and services that are particularly environmentally friendly. The LGA test mark 'Tested for harmful substances' has been awarded by TÜV Rheinland since 2007. Only products that perfectly meet the high re-quirements for emissions and hazardous substances are awarded this certifi-cation. After the inspection, the final products are also sampled randomly to ensure long-term compliance with the criteria. LEVEL is the first European certification for sustainability in office and non-domestic furniture for indoor use. The certification takes into account Euro-pean legislation, Green Public Procurement and the EU Circular Economy package. The focus lies on 'Materials', 'Energy & Atmosphere', 'Human & Ecosystem Health' and 'Social Responsibility'.
